A recent Harvard study found that running for 15 minutes a day or walking for an hour reduces the risk of major depression by 26%. To put it simply, moving your body can clear the mind. It’s why several gyms across the Twin Cities are opening their doors for free on Tuesday night’s this summer. Twin Cities Live reporter checked out a class at ALTR in Minneapolis to find out why.
This donation based workout series, connects you to 17 of the Twin Cities premier gyms, studios and fitness experiences. Typical drop in fees have been waived by every gym, but 100% of donations will go to Touchstone Mental Health, a local non-profit that provides community support and programs for those whose lives are affected by mental illness.
