It’s no secret Minnesotans are tired of winter. But there’s truly something to be said about a dark clear night, the snow crunching under your boots and the moon in all its beauty. If that sounds like we’re setting the scene for a storybook, you’d be right. It also sets the scene for a show at Stages Theatre Company in Hopkins. In celebration of their 35th anniversary, Stages is bringing back their original ballet dance collaboration, “Owl Moon”. It tells the story of a father and child venturing out hoping to spot an owl. The story is adapted from the Caldecott Medal book by Jane Yolen.
Stages Theatre Company wants to make sure the entire family can enjoy theatre and that’s why they offer Sensory Friendly productions. “Owl Moon’s” Sensory Friendly production is Saturday, March 16th. “Owl Moon” runs through March 24th.
