What should you eat if you’re breastfeeding?
- You need about 500 calories more than your prepregnancy intake if you breastfeed your baby.
- Drink lots of water and eat plenty of protein each meal.
- Continue to take your prenatal vitamins (unless your doctor tells you otherwise).
- Avoid junk foods and empty calories.
