St. Genevieve in Minneapolis is getting some nice recognition following the Twin Cities’ Charlie Awards. The awards are like the Academy Awards for folks in the foodservice industry. The honor of “Beverage Innovator” went to Brie Roland of St. Genevieve. Brie is the wine director. Brie says St. Genevieve is special because of the atmosphere, the food and the knowledge behind the wine and champagne.
Brie teaches champagne classes. She says champagne can be approachable. She says that’s what makes her job fun. She gets to teach people about how to reach a label, the differences between champagne and even bubbles, and what pairs well with a good glass.
