On Sunday, August 6, the AARP Foundation will host a meal packing event on the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul. They will be distributed to adults in our area who are struggling to get food on the table.
The numbers are astonishing. According to AARP, more than 10 million adults 50 and older live below the poverty line.

The meal packing event takes place on Sunday, August 6 starting at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers can sign up for 90 minute shifts. Steve and Twin Cities Live Reporter Kelli Hanson will be there for the 8:00 a.m. shift. To learn more and to sign up, click here.
