Since 2012, Pimento Jamaican Kitchen has been serving up authentic Jamaican street and comfort food. In 2016, the owner Tomme Beevis, opened his flagship location on Eat street in Minneapolis. Just this past week, that area has been heavily targeted by the riots. Tomme joins us to discuss the action he took immediately to help his neighborhood.
Through the Pimento Relief Fund, Tomme is helping to raise money for black businesses without insurance after being destroyed during the protests. Pimento Jamaican Kitchen has remained open as a hub of protection and supplies. If you’d like to make a donation, click here for more information.
